Absolutely horrid! Not as described at all. Very small, Velcro closure not snaps. Has bizarre loops at bottom of cape. Very narrow and so light it's barely there. I've been in the cosmetology business for 35 years and never seen such a useless thing. Ridiculous

STAY AWAY!!!

This cape seems very nice and long and that's all of the positive things I can say about it.

Over all it is TERRIBLE! The one I received was defective and had only male tips on both sides it was missing the female ones. There was no way to fasten the cape which made it very hard to use. I'm not the only one finding this out. You will see countless other reviews that have had the exact same or similar problem. It might have been good at one point, but now the quality has really deteriorated. They obviously no longer care about making a good item and they can still get great sales because they're currently a "best seller". Please take this into consideration and look somewhere else so others won't end up in the same boat as me.

As for the comfort, it is also very itchy. After wearing it for a few moments and getting hair onto it, countless people have complained about hair building up and sticking to where the buttons are around the neck. (I also wore it during a haircut and what a painful experience it was) Throughout the haircut, you can enjoy prickly hairs stabbing into your gentle neck and really wonder why on earth it made it into the best sellers. Save yourself the regret and stay away! If you're still not convinced, it also feels like an oven underneath. It's definitely not very breathable, especially in the hot summer months. Now you can struggle to fasten the cape on with a clip and sit there feeling like a cactus is stuck onto you. While in immense pain, your body will start to sweat and your neck will start to get sticky. Countless little hairs will gather onto your body and stay there to help you suffer more. You know what? Buy it and experience for yourself the wonderful joy of hairs stabbing your neck and getting stuck.

I bought the same item a week prior and received a nice cape that had plastic snaps and was long enough to cover my clients. A week later I order the same product and receive a short plastic feeling cape with metal snaps that you can hardly undo. I needed more capes but unfortunately can't trust that I'd get the same thing.

The cape is much longer in front than the old plastic one I had from a beauty supply shop and the snaps around the neck are a really good thing because it works for my husband's larger neck and also for my skinny one. It is tricky to figure how to snap the snaps at first because they don't just snap together when you press them flat against each other. At least they didn't for me.

The old cape had velcro which became totally gunked up solid with hair clippings over time. This is every so much nicer and I like that it can be washed in the machine also if necessary.

Only 4 stars because, as others have noted, the back part of the cape should be longer than it is.

i wear this cape every time i do my hair. I use a lot of products, and i like to keep a lot of moisture in my hair and my clothes were always soaked. I love being in a pool or a shower or bathtub but I don't like being wet by anyother means so doing my hair was always a chore because I knew it was going to be a wet cold ordeal. I finallyl got the bright idea to by a cape. I wear a cape at the salon and i don't get wet so I figured this would be the answer to my problems. I was actually not taking care of my hair well because i was rushing through the process becasue I didn't feel like being all wet and covered in product. My hair is high waist lenght and that meant wet hair everywhere. This cape is okay if your hair is damp. It is not okay if your hair is soaking wet. It is not waterproof. If your hair is very wet, it will soak through and your clothes with get wet. since that is my problem, this cape didn't solve that problem. I had to start just staying in the shower until i finished styling my curls and then dry my hair a bit with my tee shirt or microfiber towel. After that, this cape can then take over and keep me dry. I am still searching for a water proof cape.
