This is a pretty fun game to play, it does get somewhat a little boring at times in the begging but the action really ramps up and the levels do get harder. I have not had time to play much recently, but the graphics are pretty good if you are playing todays type games. This game is worth the price especially if you like Batman and like running around beating the daylights out of bad people.
this is the best game I have ever played

I have been playing video games since 1998, this is the best game I have ever played. For some reason, once the game begins their is an attachment to Batman, as well as his enemies. They show their basic human side as well as their super hero/ villain side. The fighting is amazing and every encounter is epic, even more when it is a boss fight. Words can not describe the game, one has to experience it themselves.
I...AM...BATMAN !!!

Im new to the Batman games and as other reviewers suggest, this is a very fun game, once you get the hang of the controls. What i would suggest, if youre 30+ yrs old, has a life, and are playing alot of various games in your limited free time like me...do yourself a favor and take some sheets of copy paper, draw out the controls for your various games and mark the titles on it. Whatever frustrations you might have with this game, will soon be quelled if you get familiar with the controls. The gameplay is action/beat em up style, with cut scenes to tell the story. Im just gonna be honest, Catwoman is one of the main reasons i tried this game. I watched enough youtube of her play time and im gonna level her up as strong as Batman. After you beat enough baddies, they start getting scared of you. As they should be :)
cool

There's a reason so many games are copying the Arkham combat style. And while, for me, Shadow of Mordor has perfected the system in a way Arkham does not, you cannot deny how awesome it feels to be a bad ass combat god... even if it's not really true. The controls are intuitive within minutes, and while the complexity never really ramps up to a spectacle fighter style game, you never feel like there's a loss of power that goes along with the simplicity.
The story is standard super hero fare. You like the crazy villains in Batman's comics? They're here! The primary arc is a little weak, and I have this feeling I've seen or read this story elsewhere. That doesn't remove the enjoyment from hearing Mark Hamil reprise the Joker, or the many talented voice actors within the game. During the game, you do get to play as other characters, and since this also has the DLC, you get Nightwing's added missions as well. Honestly, after playing Catwoman, I'd love to see them focus a title solely on her.
The world itself is fairly large, and can be a little confusing to navigate. Though that is on purpose, as dead ends have henchmen waiting for you more often than not. There are tons of sidequests and optional content to warrant the price. With a Metroidvania vibe to it, you'll find yourself retracing your steps with each new gadget to claim every collectible. With the enjoyable free-flow combat as mentioned before, you can count on having fun trashing baddies while earning added experience as well.
The Akrham games have been called must play. I missed them on release, but now that you can snatch up these GOTY editions, do it. You will not be disappointed.
