Jar is not sealed just some tape so it does leak a bit cane wrapped in bubble wrap which was a bit damp from leakage but I'd say 98% liquid retained. Taste is good vinegar not too weird like other brands today. No spice at all. Meat is firm but still kind of mushy. More from than Penrose individual sauces today. Skin on the outside gives a little more firm texture. Jar is full I am satisfied with the amount as compared to the spiral coil of sausage in the other option. Like the taste though with the classic vinegar bite rather than other brands that have the chemical tasting vinegar. I may have to try the coil balogna next time. Not sur le which brand but my friend had one that was really firm I liked it .

Update: I tried with Tabasco for more spice. Tabasco already has sour vinegar taste so it does match well but may end up overpowering with double sour taste. I added a tablespoon of fry red pepper flakes to the jar and let sit overnight in the fridge. Liquid is now reddish and they tastes a bit spicier now also with some peppers stuck to it. Don't know if it will soil the jar but I imagine I will eat them all soon. So those who want spice can add some peppers.
Very good taste, Bologna is premium firm meat.

The "Red Hot" frankfurters were no hotter or spicer than the regular Koegels pickle bologna.
The taste was very good, but if you are looking for something a little hotter, add some Tabasco or sriracha to the original and be done with it!!!🔥
