I bought these because I wanted something for the crushed red pepper packets that I get from Dominoes, but I ended up loving them and forgot how great restaurant grade utensils are compared to consumer grade. If you use hot pepper flakes, these are the PERFECT dispensers. I used to just shake hot pepper flakes right out of the spice jar I bought them in. But either too much or too little came out and I was either trying to nudge them around with my finger to spread them out or shaking into my hand so I could 'place' the pepper flakes more evenly on my food. Using one of these dispensers is the magical answer. I looked for these specifically because I've used them in restaurants before and they are exactly what I needed. The holes are spaced just right and they're just small enough that you're able to shake the pepper flakes out completely evenly (and conservatively) so that you can really control the amount that comes out. Looks like such a simple product, but I swear someone took the time to really engineer these puppies! Totally recommend. I haven't used the second one yet, but plan to test that out with parmesan and will report back!
