Works perfectly for controlling my 12volt Wiper motor. The motor runs a halloween outdoor prop. The set up was easy - I also encased the controller in a small plastic food bin to protect from rain.

Needing a powerful portable fan, I connected a 12v Caframo auto/boat fan to a 20v battery (9.6v x 2 in series). The contraption is too powerful for some applications so I needed a suitable speed adjustment. For a while I employed a crude potentiometer attached to a heat sink. This arrangement wasted too much energy in the form of heat. So, I upgraded to this PWM controller. In short, it gives a smooth power adjustment with very little wasted energy. My only complaint about this product is the total lack of documentation. There are various parameters to PWM controllers that designers would benefit from having. Unfortunately, this device comes with no information or technical specifications.

This is a very high quality construction- especially for the low cost. As a test, I ran this (without an enclosure) for 6 hours from a deep-cycle battery, 5amp input, 67watt load. My application does not require more than this, however I will have it in a place that does not allow much air-flow. So I was worried that one IC ran rather hot. I mounted that one IC on a seperate, larger heatsink.
True to given specs, it produces a very nice square wave- no distortion throughout it's smooth range of 10 to 100%.

It should be noted that the identifications on all 4 IC's have been removed with a rotary tool. This could be a roadblock for anyone who wants to modify or repair it. At this cost, we can buy several.

Nothing wrong with this! Its a PWM speed controller so it enables you to control the speed of these little DC gear motors smoothly. I used one on a DIY motorized camera slider/dolly to get the slider moving at the exact right speed and another on a turntable - both worked great.

If you want a small 12v motor with speed control then this takes care of the speed control part. The motors I used with it are both the "HOSSEN® 30RPM Mini Gear Box Electric Motor 12V DC 37MM High Torque", and the "RioRand® DC 12V 0.07A 3.5RPM High Torque Gear Box Electric Motor 37mm". Both of these motors are on Amazon as well, so for the price I think its a good deal to get something motorized. They both ship from the USA and arrived fast, so just watch out for the ones that ship from "overseas" that take weeks to arrive - if you are concerned about getting it soon.

There's no instructions with it, but there are 4 screw terminals to attach the wires - 2 for the power supply and 2 go to the motor, and once you connect them you have speed control of the motor. One thing worth noting - the screw terminals are not clearly marked when you are looking at it from the angle shown in the image above, but if you see where the screw terminals are and then turn the board upside down you will see it is written on the reverse side under each terminal. If you are going to screw it down before you attach wires its worth writing down which wire goes where as you won't be able to see it once the board is screwed down!

Summary, good product for the price.

I was having trouble whith a welder machine might welder to be exact, mi problem was that mi motor didn't work properly cuz of no power so instead of having long hours and troubleshooting which I already spend on it I start looking for a device who can control the speed and idk how but I figured about this beauty piece who save me not only cuz work amazing but because it's easy to install like plug and play ,I know this is not for what was build but I make it to work and it work perfect so that what it matters, in case u whanted to know controls from 0 to 25 volt dc
