We have laminate flooring, and it was looking really dull, to the point that it wouldn't look any better after mopping, which was pretty discouraging.
Keeping for this took a lot of work, because I wanted to make sure I didn't just shine over dirt. I swept and mopped the floor like three times after moving all the furniture off the floor. The third time mopping--with this brand's cleaner--I ended up just doing on my hands and knees so that I could make sure I got everything (I'm glad I did because there was stuff that hadn't been picked up by the mop). Then I used tinted wood filler to fill in any nicks, swept again, and put the shiner on.
The process of putting the shiner on was very fast and easy. The smell is fantastic, though fairly strong. It says dry time is around 45 minutes, but my cat walked on it after maybe 20 minutes and didn't ruin it.
I am in love with looking at my kitchen floor now! It looks so clean and shiny

You can fix mistakes!

I needed to spruce up my laminate floor getting my house ready for sale. When I first used this I struggled like others with the fact that it doesn't have a squirt top. I would recommend putting this into an empty mustard bottle or ketchup bottle if you have one available. You should err on the side of using it sparingly (apply with damp mop and rinse mop every 100sf) You can deepen the shine by adding additional light layers, but once you put a heavy layer on, any mistakes are much more noticeable. I have two very large dogs. When they jumped around on it their nails did make marks that were noticeable. Not great when trying to sell a house. I used one gallon of extremely hot water with one cup of simple green, lightly stirred in. Took a sponge with the scrubber side, lightly buffed the areas that the dogs' nails had marked..... Wiped away the foam to see whether the marks had disappeared, if not buffed a little bit harder. It worked for everything! But be careful not to scrub too hard because you'll create a bare area that's a noticeable change from the shiny area around it. The place is ready to show ---without having to go out and buy additional products.
After Smell Alert….

This stuff works! Just like it says! I'm remodeling after Hurricane Ian in Florida. As you can imagine my floor was trashed from water, ceilings caving in, etc"¦ plus construction work and not cleaning as regularly lately. We also removed our old couch and got a new one so I wanted to clean the living room floor before it arrived. I first swept or Vaccumed, then used my swiftr mop, let that dry & then I used a microfiber mop and poured some of this all over the floor randomly then mopped over it. Making sure every spot was covered because if it's not you'll be able to tell when it's done. Cause it won't be shiny & as clean looking if you missed a spot.
My only complaints is "”
I wish it had something on the spout to control the flow & not just completely open once the lid comes off.
Also, after I was done"¦ I let it dry, didn't walk on it & it truly does get and stay shiny! Very clean looking! I think you really gotta avoid walking on it til it's dry or else you'll get spots?? I didn't know to slightly damp the mop before I started so I did this with a completely dry mop. Still got plenty left cause you don't have to use that much for the room!
Afterwords I did notice a smell. It almost just smelled like cleaning supplies. But it was borderline almost too strong of a smell to the point I almost couldn't stand it & almost went back to the living room to wash with something else to get the smell outta there. But I sucked it up so I didn't mess it up and make it not work fully. and it does fade the smell not long after! Just beware and be ready just incase!
I honestly can't wait to do the rest of my floors & I will always keep this on hand! I truly recommend! No sticky residue the next day after it's dried! I bet if I put socks on I'd probably slide if I wanted to! :)

I had been using (for a long long time) the Pledge Floor Gloss. It was discontinued, so I decided to give this one a try based on all the positive reviews. I have new laminate flooring in my upstairs and I thought I'd try this on it (I feel the laminate looks better with a slight sheen).
'Pro's': The product works really well. It's easy to spread, it dries to just the right amount of sheen on the first coat (not too much, not too little) and dries to the timeline indicated on the bottle (up to an hour to dry).
'Con's': I don't love that it takes an hour to dry. My prior product dried within minutes (now, that can also be a con in some situations, too). With two cats in the house (and no way to lock off the upstairs living room), I have to lock them away in another area for an hour. One of my cats is vocally opinionated, so it's not always the best situation
The bottle has only a 'pour' option. My old product had a squeeze function that squirted out the product. You never get too much that way. This one was only available in the larger bottle and it's easy to pour out too much since it is so heavy.
Overall - I will use the remaining product, but will shop around a little before I decide this is the one to stick with. I am curious how long it holds up to every day traffic - if it really lasts quite awhile I am likely to stick with it.
