Worth a try

I'm a landscaper and my Dr recommended this sunscreen. There was a Prime deals for the combo so I got both. I don't have dry/sensitive skin but my son does. He uses the cleanser. It doesn't irritate his skin. He's not a big fan of it but it does the job. The sunscreen has tint in it so it leaves my skin looking great but as far as helping with preventing my face from getting sunburnt I don't recommend it. Even when I reapply I don't feel it can stand up to the Texas summer heat. BUT if you are using it and you don't work outdoors it's great! Now I use it on days I'm off. I don't wear makeup so with the sunscreen and some mascara I look put together.
3 in 1 wonderful product

I first bought this product in Paris in 2015 & loved that it was 3 products in one"”spf 50 sunscreen, a moisturizer & it has a nice tint that works like a light foundation. I was surprised & happy to find it in the US. Target now sells it for $44 &. Amazon has the best price"”about $37. Also, it lasts for months just be sure to shake it well before applying.
Great sunscreen but pills under makeup

The product itself does a great job as a sunscreen. The color was flattering on my face and looked like a natural glow. I did find that it pilled under makeup. I suggest using it as a stand alone product on no makeup-makeup days.
please make an untinted version!

I love the idea of an SPF 50 mineral sunscreen, but I really dislike the tint of this product. Does this come in an untinted version???
The color of this product has a sort of flat yellow hue, and it looks sort of strange on my skin, which has a fair bit of pink tone. I know that the product is *supposed* to disappear, but it flattens the color in my complexion nonetheless, to the point that my eldest son asked what substance was on my face. I may need to "downgrade" to an SPF 30 in pasty white, as even this is preferable to the yellow of La Roche-Posay Anthelios Tinted Sunscreen SPF 50. |
Black person's perspective: great, except for white-casting and staining my clothes

Ever since it came to light the deleterious effects of chemical sunscreens, I have been on a quest to find the best mineral-based sunscreen for my black skin (ps I'm somewhere between light skinned and dark skinned tint). Ideally, one that has a smooth spread and leaves me with little or no white cast. I have tried all sorts of mineral-based sunscreen brands: la rochey, cerave, blue lizard, Trader Joe's. Of all these brands, la rochey's sunscreen does spread the easiest. It comes out as little liquid so it's easy to apply anywhere on my body (tend to use it for my face, neck and arms). I have purchased this item 3 times now, and while I do prefer it to other brands, there are a few downsides to consider. One, it still suffers from the plague of paleness / white-casting, like other mineral sunscreens. The white-casting is less obvious, especially when it is paired with a light moisturizer. Second, it stains clothes brown. Many times, I wear a mask and take it off to see the white inside turned brown. Why? Because I wore la rochey's sunscreen. In some cases, I have to be extra careful that it does not stain my white shirts and towels. In conclusion, It is a great product with some white-casting and staining issues (oh and let's not forget the exorbitant price ! (TOT) ).
