Awesome upgrade -- but slow zone status and even slower zone bypass.

Replaced 3 keypads with 5507. Awesome upgrade. One thing I noticed is zone status and bypass is very very slow compared to keypad *1. Has anyone else experienced this and have a fix? The current firmware installed is 1.12.0
Some other review noted the LEDs were too bright which was also the case for our bedroom -- Light Dim (white) sticker worked perfectly to remedy problem.

Screen is bright and it looks sharp. My only complaint would be the brightness of the LEDs. It really lights up the room and night and there is seemly no way to adjust the brightness.

Very nice display. Makes the whole alarm system look better because you really don't see anything closely besides the keypad. I had the upgraded 5500 model prior to this one. This one is so much better visually anyways. I purchased the sd card, added photos! Works great to have a viewer on the wall. Well worth the extra money paid over the 5500 model!
Would like a longer screen timeout but if the max timeout of 10 min is required to preserve the display I can live with it.

I got the DCA pkt5507 because my old flip pad tabs broke it kept opening up on its own. This unit is so much better. Easy to setup just power down and wire in the 4 cords. It can act as a picture frame.
It also makes it look really nice and modern. My old keypad looked like it came from 1980 this one looks like 2017.
It works with smith and Thompson security. They don't always have the nicest looking gear but I wanted to keep their pricing and services.
