Kids seem to like this. Would not call it a game-changer. If they see it laying around and they are bored they might play with this. I don't think they have ever used it to spy on anyone.

Bought this for my 9 year old nephew, he has fun trying to listen to everyone's conversations, works well enough you need to watch what you say when you are over his house!

This toy is better than I expected. The sound quality is pretty lousy, but it works well enough for my 7-year old. I thought everything would be flimsier given the price, but it isn't bad. Both parts turn off, but the switches are obvious enough that my child doesn't have any problem operating them. The range is enough that with the transmitter at one end of my house we still get a clear signal at the other end of the house. The sound quality is bad enough that it can be hard to make out what someone is saying, but that is okay at the level my kids are using it. I would have given it five stars if the audio quality had been better
