The only part that sucked about this was the shipping, because it got lost apparently so me and my cat had to wait an extra week - that may have usps's fault though. It was reasonably simple to put together, a bit time consuming (because you have to attach many pieces) but not difficult; the instructions were pretty clear. My 11-month old kitten LOVES this. He's on it all the time and seems to use all of it except the hammock (he likes to pull that down though). I've had it two weeks now and no signs of wear; if it is deteriorates quickly in the future, I'll update this review.
Update: more than 2 months now and still in perfect shape. My foster kittens love it too!

FOLLOW THIS ONE ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTION AND YOU WILL BE HAPPY! :)

Assembly was pretty easy and feels sturdy enough for my 8 lb cat. The little hanging basket thing is probably only big enough for a kitten, but everyone knows the "if i [barely] fits, I sits" rule. There is a screw that may be compromising some reviewers' trees, making them unsteady or loose after some wear and tear. It's a double ended screw and some people may not be distributing its threads equally between posts (because it is possible to keep screwing it past it's designated point). If you screw the post in without holding the screw in place, it will keep screwing further into the initial (wrong) post leaving very little support for the post you are trying to attach. Overall this cat tree is very sturdy if built correctly and my cat loves it. Would highly recommend.

My husband and I put this together for our fur babies in 15-20 minutes. We left the cylinder tunnel off and to the side because the baby of the 4 loves to roll around in it.
It's very durable. We have adult 3 cats ranging from 12-14 lbs and 1 young adult cat that's 8 lbs. All 4 of them are on it at the same time frequently and it hasn't broken or tipped over. The heaviest fell off while rolling in catnip and it withheld him freaking out and hanging on for his life, so I don't think it'll fall anytime soon. The little bowl that hangs out on the side holds the heaviest cat with ease as well.
My only complaint is that the hammock falls off easily, but it's to be expected with the hooks it comes with.
If I remember, I will follow up in 3 months to add how it's handled my crazy fur babies.
*UPDATE*
So, I remembered! About 1.5 months into excessive use, the top tier became too lose and no amount of screwing it in would make it stay. We even tried some glue, but it was too wobbly. I ended up using the wood Gorilla Glue to keep it together and it holds up well without a screw. My littlest cat loves the bowl and has torn up the rope. He managed to unbraid it. My eldest cat would only scratch the front post and he scratched it into oblivion, so I turned over the tower and switched it with another poll to let him keep scratching. Last, we ended up switching the hammock because they love to play through the hole in the middle tier.
Overall, I still say I definitely got my money's worth. It's used daily by 4 cats and to be completely honest, I didn't expect to last this long.
**December 2016 Update**
Besides everything I've mentioned, I wanted to share how I revamped the tower. I'm in the process of replacing all the rope posts with some rope I bought off here. Despite being in the middle of a DIY project, I wanted to share how it looks and my cats are in love with it.
The only reason why I'm putting so much effort into keeping this tower is that my husband's baby is in love with the bowl, so I can't take it away from him. Lol
Oh yeah. I bought a bed to go on the top since the perch was long gone. Turns out that it was a good idea. :)
I hope my extensive review helped and gave ideas to all those who've read!
Here's the rope that I bought to redo the scratching posts:
T.W . Evans Cordage 23-410 3/8-Inch by 100-Feet Twisted Sisal Rope https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DKA3OGO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_BTdvyb4Z4Y984
I just used a hot glue gun and did 2 rows glue, 2 rows wrapped tight without glue, then just kept alternating. You'll need to buy 2 if you're wanting to completely redo the bottom.

Nice space for small and large cats
PhillyEd✓ Verified Purchase•February 1, 2016
I have two relatively large cats (~12lbs each) that love this thing. Reading some other reviews, I was worried that they were too big (and would ultimately not use it). One of my cats spends a lot of time in the basket. It is a little snug but she seems to enjoy being cradled. The hammock and hide-out space on the second level are not useful as they fit small kittens best. However, my cats really enjoy the other spaces and hanging out here. I set this up alone and it took about 30 minutes. I have been using this for over 1 year without any problems.
*UPDATE* I will have had this for 3 years this coming December. The bottom tiers are still going strong, but as some other reviewers have mentioned the top perch is now broken and the stairs have detached. I'm leaving this as 5 stars still, though, because for $70 it lasted quite a while for my cats.

It's a great tree for the price

I ordered the beige and it came in the brown, but no big deal, I was trying to decide between the two anyway, guess the decision was made for me. It's a great tree for the price. Something pre-made of this scale would be easily double if not triple the price. As noted by others, the scale is a little off. The house has a big door, but is absurdly TINY. That said, my fat bowling ball cat of about 16 pounds gets great joy in cramming herself into it, even if she can't turn around once she's in there. She's currently sitting in the hanging basket (also quite small) with her fat hanging out the sides, but doesn't seem to mind. The perch is small as well, but my big male (17 lbs) likes curling up up there as well. Everybody seems to be enjoying it and it feels pretty sturdy, maybe with a tiny bit of sway, but that seems pretty expected for a tree this size. Haven't had it long enough to say anything about the overall durability, but so far, I'm pretty happy with it. Just be aware that some of the areas are quite small and might not be useable if your cats are not weird like mine and don't enjoy cramming themselves into spaces they don't actually fit into... Pic added to show scale. 15 lb black cat in bowl thingy, 17 lb tan male on shelf, and my 11 lb Siamese showing exactly how much of herself will fit into the tiny house.
