Udon Alfredo it is!

At first I marked this product three stars because of the visual appearance, but after trying them, I'm giving them a five! The taste and texture is somewhere between linguine and Chinese takeout lo-mein noodles....normal Udon noodles are much, much, thicker and heartier, but the texture can be very mealy. I prefer these noodles anytime, and I may even use this for fettuccine Alfredo...Udon Alfredo anyone?
These are real udon noodles, not the fake ones

A lot of noodles that are sold in the US that are labeled as "udon" are not anything like Japanese udon noodles at all, and many are too thin. I have lived in Japan for an extended period and I can vouch that these taste like real udon to me. I prefer organic, but haven't found any organic udon noodles online that are actually real udon and not the fake ones, so I buy these regular ones.

Every time I use these noodles for something, someone will ask, what are these noodles you are using? People are so use to Pasta. These are light, do not over cook and draw the flavor of whatever base flavor you want to use them with. Clam Sauce anyone?

These taste very good right after cooking, AND, they taste just as good the next day as a leftover option. I cooked two packages without realizing the portion sizes, so I had to refrigerate about half of it. Got it out the next day and it was fantastic. Will buy again when I run out of my current inventory.
Udon Convert

I have been converted to Udon. I am a pasta person - I eat pasta literally on a daily basis. Normally, I eat spaghetti. Not anymore. This Udon is great! I also like that they're wrapped into 2 person servings, so it's pre-measured. My problem with spaghetti is that I normally make too much. I don't have this issue with the Udon, as a result. They are so easy to cook and the texture is great. I will happily keep on purchasing this as I go through it.
