I just pop a few of these a day, sometimes lots sometimes, not so many...I just feel like the uptake it optimal. I even take when eating steak or other high protein meals

MAAP is , quite simply , the most important supplement in the world , and I am never , ever , without it. I take 20 per day - and this allows me to thrive in this world without having to ingest excessive amounts of animal protein( although I do eat all forms of it, it is cost prohibitive, meat is, and taxes your organs)
20 MAAPS PER DAY= 4 BUCKS AND CHANGE and the protein value would be like eating say 2.5 pounds of ahi tuna !

Background.... I first heard about this product from Ben Greenfield on his podcast. The only personal caveat that I had to try it out was that the basic formula for this is promoted by Dr. Minkoff (Google him and Scientology). I am not at all a "supplement" guy. I prefer to eat real food to source all my needs for nutrition. I've read a few anecdotal items of ultra runners who swear by this for recovery. As a person who eats ketogenic (lost over 60lbs and 15% body fat in a year) And is in my forties, I don't recover from intense workouts as quick as I did when younger. (Duh).
So I decide to try this out and see if it's a giant white placebo pill or if it works.
My conclusion...it works. Really works. I purchased one bottle and decided to run through it at the "RX" dose of 10 prior to a workout and 5-10 through the day. I was hesitant to credit the MAP as working so good...I thought it might just be a placebo.
I head to my CrossFit workouts fasted, so I was concerned that this would tear my stomach up. Especially after 10 tablets of this size. Nope. Nada. I take them one at a time with a few ounces of water and am fine through a workout. Quite surprising.
I still wasn't convinced that it was the MAP. I used one bottle and then tried a break of 3 weeks. Guess what? I missed the MAP!
So what does it do?! I can't say I feel a big bump in energy during workouts, but a noticeable increase in my fatigue threshold. The real magic is that it cuts my recovery time by more than half. Yeah. Really.
On heavy days it's not unusual for me to feel sore up to 72 hours out. When I take the MAP it's less than one day! I will definitely say that my overall strength gains are more consistent on the MAP.
I've found my sweet spot to taking it...10 prior to a workout or run, then 5 later that day. On off days I take 5 during the day.
I would highly recommend you try it if you're on the fence. This is my ONLY supplement that I take. I swear by it now and have been using it for over 6 months now.
