Very narrow masking tape

I ordered this tape in three different narrow widths to use on 5×7" canvases in an art project with my granddaughter that I had seen on Pinterest. Since the dimensions of the canvas are relatively small, the tape couldn't very wide, so this was perfect. However, even though I burnished it carefully, paint still got under the tape, so that tells me that it wasn't quite as sticky as I'd have hoped. The project was saved by painting white over the bled paint, but it took a lot of touching up time.

Great quality -- super-straight lines. I needed THIN lines, and couldn't find tape anywhere. Its 3M, cut to size, so the adhession you'd expect.
Bleeds though and Peels paint when masking grout when painting Tiles

It took me several days of leaning over cooktop to mask off grout between tiles on backsplash so I could have contrasting grout after painting the tiles. After painting when I tried to remove very gently I found that not only did paint bleed through in multiple areas, but also stuck to paint causing tile paint to peel off on edges in multiple areas. It was a nightmare! Took more time to remove and then touch up, scrape off or paint over (trying to match grout color) depending on area and difficulty in removing bleed through. I suppose it was better than nothing,because even though it took three times as long as I'd hoped the end result looks pretty good, but buying 1/8" and 1/4" strips as "painter's masking" tape and then having those problems was very disappointing! I'm hoping the 3 coats of varathane varnish will keep those areas from peeling, I guess time will tell. Update: The Urethane topcoats seem to be working, holding up well, am upgrading to 3 stars as I coudn't have painted the tiles and not the grout without it. But touchup was still a pain!

Used this to edge my windows before I sprayed frosted glass paint on them. Worked perfectly! I was surprised how thin it was when I opened the box, but that's what I asked for and the size of the line looks great on the window. Too bad you can't find it in any local stores but Amazon had a great price and it was exactly what I needed!
