Does the job, no complaints, but I prefer syringe.
Caleb•August 22, 2017
Works as it should, but I wish I would've gotten the syringe instead. I don't like the idea of having to touch the work area with the applicator.
Would prefer to simply drop material onto solder points.

Good flux, but it's a little tough getting it ...

Good flux, but it's a little tough getting it to flow sometimes. The tip burns easily when pressed to hot solder joints and wicks flux less effectively.
Not good for adding flux to wires

This does not work well to flux wires that you're attempting to tin. It seems to be better suited for tinning circuit boards.
Yay!

I finally got smart and bought one of these for working on quadcopter flight controllers and PDBs. Why didn't I do this sooner!!! Works much better than painting on paste flux with a small brush. For soldering wires together the paste is great, for curcuit boards, this is tops.
I wish I had tried this sooner!!!

I was surprised at the quality of this flux pen! A quick brush of the wire/base to be soldered, and boom - easy joint! No mess/spilling/waste/brush of a liquid dispenser, no goop of a paste. I solder infrequently (this one pen will probably last me a year), but this will be the only way I get my flux in the future. It is slightly more expensive to use the pen applicator, but it is my opinion that the ease of use and the results more than justify the extra expense.
If you solder a lot, you may wish to go another route...but I would recommend giving the pen a try. I love it and won't be going back!!!
Note: When first starting, you have to push in the tip a little bit to get the flux to flow...after that, you are in business and it is smooth sailing!
