Love to Dream Swaddle UP, Baby Sleep Sack, Self-Soothing Swaddles for Newborns, Improves Sleep, Snug Fit Helps Calm Startle Reflex, New Born Essentials for Baby, Small 8-13lbs, Gray

Key features
- •Swaddling has been around for ages as it helps to prevent the startle reflex. But forcing the baby's arms to their sides or over their chest prevents two natural behaviors that frustrate the baby and they fight to get their hands free.
- •First - Over 90% of babies sleep with their ARMS UP around their head when placed on their back to sleep. This is simply a baby's natural and preferred way to sleep, just like in the womb!
- •Second - All babies are born with the need to SELF-SOOTHE by touching their face and sucking on their hands as they did in the womb. This medically proven behavior is how a baby calms and falls asleep on their own. Traditional swaddling prevents this.
- •The patented wings on the Swaddle UP allow the baby to both sleep with their arms in their preferred ARMS UP position and gives enough movement so they can SELF-SOOTHE, all while calming down the startle reflex.
- •The snug fit from our 4-way stretch fabric of 93% Cotton and 7% Elastane creates a familiar and secure feeling just like in the womb to calm the Moro (startle) reflex. Does not contain flame retardants or any harmful chemicals.

Miracle swaddle

My newborn came home from the hospital loving to be swaddled. We purchased two packs of SwaddleMe original velcro swaddles. By three weeks old, he hated it and wanted to get at his hands. He wouldn't be swaddled to sleep, but would startle in his crib or bassinet. I tried the Nested Bean weighted blanket, but it didn't help his startle reflex at all. I ended up bringing him in the bed with me so he would sleep, but I was up all night worried about his safety. He went on a sleeping strike and wouldn't sleep for longer than a half hour during the day, so we were both overtired and exhausted.
I happened upon this product at my local Target, and decided I would shell out the $30 for one last try at something to help him sleep. I put it on him when we got home, and he slept for three hours!! We've been using it every night since, and at five weeks old he falls asleep so easily and is sleeping for 3-4 hours at a time. He even takes two daytime naps wearing this swaddle!
It completely solves the issue of babies being fussy when they can't get at their hands. This blanket is a genius idea, and worked great for our baby

This is absolutely amazing!!! My baby hated her arms swaddled down in a regular swaddle, but would startle herself awake with failing arms if we left them out. When I found this, I was so hopeful it would work, although I was a little nervous that it might be uncomfortable for her with her arms in an up position, but no worries at all, it's a perfect design. She's not uncomfortable and can suck on her hands through the fabric. Soft, stretchy fabric that allows a little give in the wing area, but not enough that we have failing arms to keep her awake. It didn't magically fix her nap problems, but has been a huge help since she's gotten used to it. Another awesome feature - it even has a little place on the back that we can buckle her into her car seat with it on. (We've only used this once, when we happened to be out super late, but it was amazing. No taking her in and out of her swaddle, just an easy transition from bed to car seat and back to bed once we got home!) I can't really say enough good about this swaddle!!
Our baby’s favorite swaddle

Prior to this swaddle we tried wrapping in a muslin blanket, the Halo, and SwaddleMe. When our son was about 2 months old (1 month adjusted) we tried the Swaddle Up. The biggest issues we were having were:
1. The process of swaddling him got him energized and 2. He would struggle to free his hands rather than fall asleep.
This swaddle has resolved both of those issues. It's so simple and quick to zip this up so he doesn't get frustrated and start to fuss. And since he can reach his hand to suck on it (through the fabric) he doesn't try to break out of it. The second zipper makes diaper changes really easy too. It used to take 30-45 minutes to get him back to sleep after nighttime feedings and now it's 10-15 mins. No more hearing him straining and wiggling trying to break out of the swaddle.
Since every baby is different, it might be worth it to start with 1 and then get more if you find they work for your baby. We were going to try the Zipadee next but were hesitant due to how loose the fabric looked. Glad we tried Swaddle Up first!

This is awesome! So I had originally purchased 4 different swaddles

This is awesome! So I had originally purchased 4 different swaddles. We didn't swaddle the first 6 weeks, then he began waking himself with startling reflex all night and rubbing his face and knocking out his pacifier which upset him. 2 kind of the swaddles I bought got returned after hearing how loud the Velcro was in the middle of the night. That left me with only Muslin snap ones. But he got angry that his arms were wrapped and every night grunted and broke free. The final straw on them was waking up to it covering his face as he had freed his arms under the wrap and it worked over his face. Even though it's "breathable" I'm not ok with that. I read reviews and ordered the love to dream swaddle. Not to mention waking him to wrap it around his back, bc he would cry if you swaddle him while having his last feeding, so I close the swaddle when he's done and is falling asleep.
Now No grunting. No fighting the arms loose....asleep in 10 min with no fuss.
It fits very snug around the belly to chest area like spandex. So he feels secure and no startle.
Wish I had started with this swaddle!

Ok so I've now had this for over 2 months. I got this for my daughter at a little over a month old because the traditional and Velcro swaddles that my oldest daughter LOVED -this new sweet girl of mine did NOT. I am a FIRM believer in some type of swaddling for general sanity so I tried the first month and a half to almost force my daughter to like to be swaddled. I mean... what baby doesn't like to be swaddled right!?! They just came out of 9months of swaddling! Well. This little one hated life with her arms down.
This swaddle is for you IF: your little one likes their arms up not down but still wants and likes the swaddle feel around their belly. Your little one likes to self soothe on their hands. Your little one can easily break out of others swaddles. Your little one needs SOME freedom.
Now. to address some of the startle reflex issues some have had on here w this swaddle. This was a main concern of mine as well because that's the whole reason why a lot of babies sleep so well with their arms down. And i was trying to force my daughter to sleep w her arms down. I will only speak to my experience because let's face it all babies are different. It was TOTALLY FINE for our girls reflex. She was 8lbs at 1.5 months so TINY. and had room to grow in it as well. It did not "constrain" her or keep it completely gone BUT it did help with it. She never got to claw her face. She never got to pull her own hair. She was overall limited but still got to have her hands by her face which she loved. Overall this was a LIFESAVER for me and wish I just started with it from day one instead of trying to force my daughters arms down.
I have one negative. Here we are at 4ish months of age and she's still pretty tiny. Around 11lbs. She's VERY active. We do a version of CIO w some soothing now for sleep training. Her legs are so kicky and active that she can actually pull her legs to her chest within the swaddle and kick up so close to her neck that it pulls on the neck part. I realize that most babies aren't as tiny and lean as mine but it has become an issue so much so I've had to switch to a swaddle where her legs can't do that or leave the zipper of this swaddle open from the bottom. The material is SUUUULER stretchy so I'm sure it's fine and in being over cautious. The material is on the "thin" side. Not super thin. But not thick. I always had clothes on her underneath it and we are in Texas. So if in a colder climate I would get the other thicker version of this or bundle them up underneath.
