Listen to the reviews regarding size

I always wear XL. Amazon recommended an XL. But because of what I read in the reviews I ordered a L. It fit perfect. I liked the style, but unfortunately the wind blows through these like open air, so I returned it. It isn't for cold weather so I didn't have use of it.
Seller has a no return policy apparently

I had planned to use this as a work/rain coat but I ordered a size too large for me, thinking I would wear warm layers under in the winter months but I put in on right out of the Amazon box and it was way over sized for me and looked terrible. No amount of underlayers would make it look better. I tried to return and exchange for the next size smaller but the seller apparently has a "no return" policy. After realizing it was way oversized, I folded it back the way it came very neatly and put it back in the box the way it came to me. Now I may be stuck with a brand new, never worn oversized coat I can't wear without looking ridiculous. Very disappointing
This thing is great.

I wear this when riding fence or working animales in the rain. Or when it's cold and super windy. Great for keeping dry in the rain and stops the wind in its tracks. This combined with my stetson and gloves keeps me dry and warm in 40 or below with rain. At first glance you wouldn't think it works well but it does. I don't just wear this but it's a fantastic outer layer. Traditional set up so unscrewing the black allows it to keep my legs dry while sitting on my mare. Tough material and EASY to wash. However the only down side is the sizes run long in the arms and length I ordered my size and without rolling the cuffs up they ingulf my hands and almost to long when walking. But with a little use you get use to it. I love this product.

The long coat is well made. There is no interior lining or material for warmth. It is bare canvas on the inside. It only has two pockets. The two outside pockets. No interior pockets. The two outside pockets are large. The jacket ends at about 4 inches above my ankles.
When buying, you want to purchase a jacket that is 1 size smaller than your normal jacket size. I am 6'0" and 170lbs. Slim waist and broad shoulders. I purchased the coat in a small. It is not tight on me and still has room underneath for layers underneath. A medium would have fit me like a tent. Way too large. Am I able to wear layers underneath the size small range coat? Is there room? Definitely. Perhaps even a bulky sweater over a lumberjack shirt and thermal undershirt. The sleeves were about 3 inches too long, but I turned up the dark brown cuffs to accommodate the length of the arms. It is not going to fit like a $800 wool business suit that is made with 40 R or 40 L or 40 S and tailor fitted. It is a cowboy range coat.
So if you want it to fit to your body contours and not look like something that is way too large for your frame. Consider the size you are purchasing. I purchased the jacket in walnut with dark brown collar and cuffs.

Sturdy but a bit distressed with some TLC could be a good coat

So good marks for the strength of the material seems like it will last quite awhile and repel water. What I like most is it is long and I like that it has cuffs that are meant to roll up so I get a perfect fit in my arm length. What is the down side? As others have commented the finishing is a bit sloppy. You will have to trim a lot of extra threads and on the button holes and elsewhere. I need to run a lint brush over the entire coat. Just sloppy stuff. In the ne dafter trimming it, and brushing it it will be a fine sturdy raincoat that should last and is long that runs a few inches above my ankle, which was important to me. If you are also looking for warmth from this, guess again, you will need something underneath and no you cannot add a liner and no it does not come with one. But there is plenty of room to have something on underneath which I think is a plus.
