Outstanding product for demonstrating Newton's Laws of Motion in an enclosed classroom or outside. It brings student participation into the learning experience as they build their own straw rockets as individuals or in a 2 or 3 or 4 man team project. Recording results of the launches and adjusting fins for center of gravity and weight of the rockets are easy tasks yet still require record keeping and thinking by the students. It also allows room for non-threatening competition between individuals or teams by using a target for the rocket to land inside.

I bought one of these about 4 years ago directly from Pitsco. I have used it with kids for science camp since. The only catch is that I need a second one for more kids to use at a time.
No customer support from Pitsco if purchased from Amazon

I purchased the Straw Launcher Item 35783 for my classroom. A plastic tube was warped that made the launcher unusable. I contacted Pitsco for a replacement tube The technical service representative told me that they will not help and that I need to return to Amazon. This is the only manufacture that I know of that will not stand behind their product. Do not buy Pitsco through Amazon.
