Beautiful colors and gemstone like brightness makes it easy to see different countries. I have had many compliments. I did think it would have bumps on it for the land, mountains, and islands. Nevertheless, its breathtaking.

It's cheaply made. As large as it is, I can pick it up with two fingers. The outline of countries is grossly out of whack. I'm not expecting cartographic detail, but the mis-shapes really are eye-catching, begging the question about the level of craftsmanship involved in producing this globe.

The whole piece was nice but I was not impressed with the solid blue because, it just had no beauty I would have liked. It just didn't draw you to want to look at it.

The metal construction is pretty solid (and lightweight as well) but the globe leaves something to be desired. It is lumpy and not quite spherical, and the gemstones are cut very crudely. I don't think I would pay more than $50 for this item.
