Love at first smell... Okay, a bit dramatic, but I really liked this right when I pulled the cap. I was an Aqua Velva user for many years, and only recently became turned off by it. As of late, I have bought Pinaud's Lime Sec, Bay Rum, and Tabac. I like the Bay Rum, the Lime Sec is alright, and the Tabac has got to be the most powerful scent I have ever experienced, and absolutely did not like it. This has a nice scent that does not at all feel "old." The eucalyptus and menthol are both very subtle. It seems to fade nicely after hours of wear. After several tries, this one is an every day wear.

I like this after shave because of its scent... it's not too sweet, but "just right." Kind of masculine, not overpowering. It doesn't really conflict with any other scent. That said, I only wish the smell would actually be longer lasting, that's why I only gave it Four Stars.

I don't know what it is, what scent exactly that is in this, but there is something seriously funky about it. I was thinking menthol and eucalyptus something almost medicinal, and that is there. But, there is also this funky, musky, salty, sweatiness to it. I guess they think they have to make it "masculine", but masculinity is not a scent you splash on your face.

I've been using this Proraso aftershave along with their shaving cream. While I did enjoy the shaving cream, I was initially less impressed with the aftershave. As expected, it does come in a nice package and provides the skin with a fresh, cool feeling after shaving (it's worth noting that this product contains alcohol, which may cause a somewhat dry/burning sensation for sensitive skin). As other reviewers have noted, the consistency is that of a liquid rather than a lotion, but the scent is office friendly. Still, I found the menthol smell better suited for the shaving cream than the aftershave, and would generally prefer to pick at this $/oz price level a top-notch, cologne-smelling aftershave that is alcohol-free such as Blaviar Epsilon (Epsilon by Blaviar | Ultra-Luxury Eau de Cologne After-Shave Balm, 5 fl oz / 150 mL) to finish a fine shave. However, after a while I revisited this product and realized that it actually works as advertised, and perhaps my own expectations were not exactly aligned with its purpose. It's just not meant to be very soothing and calming for an irritated skin after shaving, but rather refreshing/cooling and even stinging. And it's not intended to offer a luxurious cologne experience, but rather an old-school barbershop feel. All in all, this is certainly a more traditional option as an aftershave rather than an ultramodern one "“ make sure to approach it with the right expectations.

fresh and clean smelling - good initial sting on face and cooling sensation is quite nice. 3 stars for scent not dwelling long enough on skin. Will provide maximum 2-3 hours of scent.
