I love the barrel. Much better than an ugly downspout and I was able to get rebate from the city. Not much rain in San Diego though so not much (if any) water yet. Mine is the 50 gallon without planter. I had to cut hole in top for the rain chain to hang properly.

Beware - don't try to stick your arm in the hole to put on the washer for the overflow spout like the instructions tell you to do. I did and I still have two nasty bruises and abrasions on my arm a week later. My husbands arm wouldn't fit at all. Other than that, this is a nice looking barrel. But the overflow needs to be installed at the factory.
