These work okay when we use them on our patio in South FL. ie.... one on the table and one down by your feet. We get about 10-12 hours out of one candle give or take an hr or two. These seem to detour the little buzzin boogers rather than keep them entirely away. May try to light more and create a perimeter wall much like using citronella torches,

This also helps clear out cigarette smoke. We discovered this by accident. Walked into a patio where there were smokers. I had to walk out. Minutes later I was asked to rejoin the party and I hesitated - the left over odor is pungent. The citronella candles were lit the entire time. That is all I could smell. Wish they came in larger sizes!

really good citronella candle at a good price.. would definitely have given it five stars but the three wicks are not evenly spaced.. all three are offset more toward one side of the candle so it doesn't burn evenly, and one is placed directly under the inside of where the handle is looped in causing it to be burned. correct the spacing and this would be top notch.

This candle is relatively expensive; however, all products with insect repellent properties seem to be expensive. It has three wicks, so one can choose to light one wick, two wicks, or three wicks, depending on how quickly one wants the candle to burn. The candle did not keep all mosquitoes away.

They work! We take them on every camping trip -- put them around the perimeter of the campsite and we're good to go! We have tried single-wick candles and they are a bust, with lots of wax ending up wasted. The triple-wick is the only way to go. Packing tip: do not pack these candles with anything you do not want to smell (or taste) like citronella -- they are very strong smelling even when not lit.
