Shown below is my 1st review of the heater. Amaze responded on 1/14/2017 saying they would replace the heater or issue a refund. I responded on 1/14/2017 with ""Thank you for responding to my review of your 400 Amaze heater. A copy of your response and a copy of my invoice is attached.
A replacement would be nice, but an upgrade to the 600 model would work better for me (I already purchased one of the 600 watt models from Amazon several months ago, and it works fine). I will gladly pay the difference in price/costs.
If the upgrade is not possible, please advise how I would receive a refund.""

Although the heater works well, the disturbing odor coming from this heater (since installed 12/22/2016) has finally made me conclude that this is not safe around my home. Time for a different heater. Requests for help from the mfg have gone unanswered.

I absolutely love this heater. I have terrible allergies and have trouble sleeping with either electric or gas heat.

The cozy heater kept my bedroom toasty during the entire winter! How do I know how well it works? I could feel a noticeable difference as soon as I waked into my bedroom.

Easy to use. Instead of hanging it on the wall, we used our metal piano music book stand next to the bed. This winter we may hang it as we wanted to test it one winter to make sure it worked and boy did it ever!

The Amaze heater is much better than the cheap Chinese made Eco heater and the Econo heat. Even though Econo is the popular one, it has lost its charm. It cracked within 24 hours of usage. I started using panel heaters since 2012 and initially I had purchased the Econo heat panel heater and I was very disappointed because of the crack. Then I purchased the Eco heater that never worked and cracked before I could even open the package. I like these panel heaters so I searched for others. I found the amaze heater. With all the mixed reviews about the smell I wanted to take a chance. Arrived in good shape, no cracks or damage during transit. Solid packing and easy instructions to follow. Mounted the heater and started using it. I couldn't notice any smell and it's running fine. Finally found a perfect panel heater and I'm happy with my purchase. Go get your amaze today.

I wouldn't buy this product again. It's not because of the heat. I never expected it to put out a lot of heat but it actually does raise the ambient temperature in our condo living room to a comfortable level.

The issue that I have with this heater is that it smells very toxic when in use and has already cracked just a month after I bought the item. This is similar to many of the other reviews. I've also washed the heater on all sides frequently but the smell hasn't gone away.

I haven't opened the electrical house to see if there are any fire hazards but I wouldn't be surprised if there were.

I should have done more research but I needed a low watt heater and liked the idea of radiant vs forced air heating.

Do not buy ! Disappointing! The heater works fine BUT the smell! It's a terrible electrical smell that will not go away. We've had it for about 10 months and still nasty. We have another brand of similar heater in another room. No problems with it. I would return this but it's been too long.
