I buy these all the time for pumping all kinds of chemicals from concentrated acids and bases to solvents (methanol, biodiesel, isopropyl, gasoline, etc). Never had a problem unless I left it in sun too long, gets brittle. The pump wears out after a few months of med use. For those who write poor reviews::: Did you close the vent nut on top of handle???? I haven't bought these here yet, I get locally. I generally have 2-3 on hand at any time. When they fail its because you either wear out the pump (fatigue) and it gets a crack thus wont suck or the nut wont seal anymore or the sun kills the plastic. These are the most useful, affordable, convenient way to pump out of drums. Don't leave in the sun and don't leave in the drum.
