I had no desire to contact building maintenance to have them clear a giant hairball out of my sink drain so I figured I'd give these a shot. I'd tried similar plastic versions in the past and had a lot of trouble as it was pretty inflexible and the plastic prongs on the side broke off pretty easily. This is miles better. It totally cleared out my drain and fit under the stopper so I didn't have to fiddle with the washers and bolts to remove it which was a huge plus. My only complaint is that I wish it were a bit easier to clean so it were more reusable but it's only 5 bucks so it's not a big issue.
Cheap but effective.

Looks cheap (is cheap) but is effective. I had a few inches of standing water in my tub for 2 days when I got this thing. Cleared it in moments, I did not save it because it was difficult to clean off and inexpensive enough that I'd just as soon buy another when the need arises. Note: I have the kind of drain with a pop-up, non removable plug which made it difficult to get this thing very deep. It probably works much better with traditional drain types. It's very nice to have a viable, non-chemical means of clearing hair clogs. (More reliably effective too.) Don't waste money on chemicals- this + 3 minutes of effort and you're done. Do wear gloves, and keep a plastic bag handy for pulling the hair off the gizmo.

The idea of these is great, but they definitely don't hold out very well if you want to reuse them. Besides the difficulty of getting the hair out (not awful, and my wife has long hair, but not easy either), they aren't durable at all. The wire core starts poking out of the tip fairly quickly, and then you're scratching the inside of the plumbing, which I'd imagine isn't such a great idea.
Bottom line is that they work, and do their job pretty well, but the claim of being reusable is a slight stretch. Still a pretty good value though, considering.

Did not work as advertised.
I have a standard type sink drain/fixture. When I used this tool, I had a slow-draining sink that was clogged with hair (not long hair). I wanted to avoid using harsh chemicals like Drano. But pushing the tool end down the drain only compacted the hair and clogged the drain completely. Reluctantly I resorted to Drano which worked like a charm. Lesson learned, sad to say.

Make sure you have rubber gloves when you use this gadget. Technically, it is reusable, but you will NOT want to reuse it. However, it DOES work. We had a clogged bathroom sink and no amount of boiling hot water or vinegar would unclog it. Before taking the sink apart, I thought I'd give the FlexiSnake a try. It was gross. Have a plastic bag with you. Don't try to clean it with a cloth or paper towels. Originally, I'd planned to clean/reuse the device, but it was impossible. Instead, with my rubber gloves on, and a handy plastic bag to keep any gross drain offerings off my floors, I cleaned every drain in the house and then promptly threw the FlexiSnake in the trash.
Next time my sinks clog up, I will buy another FlexiSnake.
