My girlfriend has named this little guy Frederick. She loves him dearly as he is her comfort during abdominal cramps. Unfortunately now I have to watch her prance around with Frederick sticking out of the waistband of her panties several days a month, like some unholy pouched "Owl-laby" monstrosity. We absolutely love Mr Owl! He comforts us when we have belly aches, back pains or simply when we need help to go to sleep. The lavender has a great therapeutic effect and helps to relax. NEVER try to wash Mr Owl in the washing machine and NEVER put it in the microwave longer than 2 mn... We are on our 3rd Mr Owl because of those two reasons...

This is one of the greatest things I've ever purchased from Amazon. You pop this sucker in the microwave for 60 seconds, and you have yourself a toasty warm owl buddy to fix all your life's problems. Are you a single 20 year old with a need for a snuggle buddy? Then, this is the product for you, my friend. It smells better than a boyfriend, cause it's filled with lavender. It looks better than a boyfriend, cause it comes in this adorable array of colors. It doesn't complain like a boyfriend, cause it's a stuffed animal, and those suckers don't talk. Basically, I'm really single and alone, and this owl sometimes makes me feel better about my life. I bought this as a thank you gift for a friend after experiencing my mother's. My mother has perennial cold hands and she is crazy about this thing. She heats it up in the microwave, puts it on her lap and holds it there while watching TV. It holds its warmth for a considerable amount of time and when it cools down, you just throw it back into the microwave for 50 seconds.
It looks silly, but it really WORKS. The various colors are nice too. My mom has the "goes with everything" brown/beige one but my friend is a fan of turquoise so she was thrilled with the product (she had seen my mother's) AND the color.

As much as I love the smell of lavender

Works very well and definitely is very comforting. My only issue with it is when you microwave it. As much as I love the smell of lavender, once you microwave it, it can become a little overwhelming. I find that I would much rather not microwave it if I didn't have to. However, it does come in handy as a pillow if needed. I tend to bring this to school with me and as a college student I tend to nap a lot in school. This came in handy and was very soft to nap on. Do keep in mind that if you toss it around the dried lavender does pass through the cloth and can get onto your clothes (learned this the hard way when I looked down at my black jeans and saw small white particles all over it). Nevertheless, works great and would buy it again if needed.
