I bought this as a gift to my mother. She had lost her father, her step-father, and her brother in less than a year. After a good friend of mine lost her mother, I went looking for something that I could give as a gift besides flowers. I am so glad I came across this little jar of notes. Unlike flowers, she can keep it forever and read the kind words whenever she needs an extra pick-me-up. The jar was a little smaller than I expected. I would compare it to a little bigger than a large glass candle. However, that didn't bother me because everything inside is just as pictured and it was a perfect gift in a hard time.
