I never built anything before. I had an ugly A/C and made a cover. I had no idea how hinges work or what to buy. The wood was 3/4" thick. This hinge was awesome. Easy to put on and had 100% exact fit. Still need to add knobs. It says one item in description - so I bought 4 packages. So I have 4 extra.
