Excellent notebooks. I used similar ones that opened like a book and thought I'd give these a try. They are excellent. Good binding (stitched, not glue or spiral wire) and paper quality. I use them with pencil, fountain pen, and sometimes regular ball point pens. These may fit my pocket better than the others. I've not tried one in my pocket yet. Both the flip over and flip up are made for military shirt pockets so they do not always fit a civilian size pocket. I prefer the flip up like this. I'm sure I will be ordering more

I used these constantly while in the military. After I got out I started using regular spiral bound note pads. I work in construction and needless to say I am hard on my gear. I would go through a notepad within two weeks just because they'd fall apart. Not these! They last forever! Run them over, kick them, step on them; nothing ruins them!

The notebook sits on a corner my desk, ready for me to jot down ideas. The memo pad slips easily into my shirt pocket and accompanies me when I go shopping. It's a substantial pad, which makes crossing things off your list as you're shopping real easy.

I am a retired disabled veteran that was pleased to find our little handy green Notepad that use many times while I was in the military my little brother end up telling me he found it on Amazon. I use these books with fountain pens with great success. I use fine nibs and for the most part have had few issues. Give the slim pickings for paper, these are very good for the price. There is some show through, especially with wider nib, but not a deal breaker. The best to use so far is a Pilot Metropolitan fine nib with Pilot ink.
