This is a good air filter. I like that it has 5 speeds and a digital control panel, although that means that you can't hook it up to a timer or smart switch and have it turn back on. I use mostly the two slowest speeds and it is fairly quiet at that setting (about like an older tower computer, not as quiet as some). It has made a noticeable difference in air quality. It is a bit peculiar in that the air is exhausted at an angle to one side, not straight out, but maybe that is to help it recirculate. Apparently the newer models (GermGuardian AC5350B Elite 4-in-1 Air Purifier for example) exhaust in two directions. You'll probably want to get replacement charcoal filters, not just whole combined filters, and get the factory brand of each (others may not be to the same specifications and could make the motor work harder). Also note that this comes with the "PT" a pet filter although it can take the regular type. I believe pet just means it has a mold fighting chemical applied, which sounds good to me.

I live & work in Ghana, and ordered this product to help me sleep; the air here contains a number of allergens, and I was suffering from allergies almost constantly. I'd like to say there has been a significant overall improvement; unfortunately that hasn't yet been the case - I'm hoping for better outcomes over the next few months. The one thing I have noticed recently is that I breathe much easier at night - I often feel myself breathing in deeply, and it feels great.

The product works very well; the booklet described how to unwrap and insert the filter, but when the unit arrived it was ready to plug in and turn on. The only noise from the unit is when the fan is on 4 or 5 (the two highest speeds). The blue light that shines when the UV light is on can be a distraction when the unit is in the bedroom; fortunately I'm not distracted by low light, and it makes a nice night light. One problem I'm having is that the power switch is electronic and not mechanical. Here's what that means for me: there are frequent, temporary power outages here in Ghana, and when that happens the unit shuts off and doesn't restart when the power is switched back on. This is a problem of course when the power outage occurs at night or while I'm away. It may be relatively minor in the big picture, but I hope the manufacturer will consider this when upgrading.

I balked at the cost of shipping and duty fees when I ordered this product; however, this has nothing to do with the product or the shipper. The fact is, I was amazed at how quickly the item was delivered to the school where I teach - I think it took only 3 or 4 days. I had to have it shipped here because there are no comparable products that I could find here in Accra (capital of Ghana).

Bottom line is I'm very happy with the product and the shipping. The only reason for 4 stars instead of five is the thing I mentioned about the power. Minor, but still worth mentioning.

This has been one of my good purchases and 5 my friends have themselves brought one each seeing its utility. It cleans the air very well, makes the room feel pleasant and even helps with cooling to some extent.

I had initially brought a smaller size but then moved to a bigger size just because of how good it felt once it was on. Also, because my room size was bigger and it made more sense. My friends who have allergies in spring couldn't stop raving about this product. They said and I quote "I sleep so much better now".
I highly recommend this product you will not be disappointed.

Use of this system has greatly reduced our allergies during pollen season.. wi h several speeds and an ionizer, it is quite flexible to use. We clean during the day and enjoy peaceful nights.

Does exactly what it is supposed to do. I notice a difference in the air quality after a week.
