Very well thought out unit

This thing is built like a tank. My only wish is the input gain existed on the Single Channel version which is why I bought this one.
I use the Boost in "reverse". I set normal volume with Boost ON. And then tap the Boost button to cut myself "Out" when I want to. When I don't know tune well enough but I still want to play along with the band.
I was able to get a true acoustic guitar tone ( using Behringer PSM with Westone In Ears) I highly recommend this product from F

I found this product mentioned over at The Gear Page. I have a K&K Pure Mini Western, installed in a 1973 BC Rich B28 dreadnought guitar. I' have used a LR Baggs preamp. This Fire Eye is way easier to use. I could plug in and play, without having to mess around with EQ. I was able to get a true acoustic guitar tone ( using Behringer PSM with Westone In Ears) I highly recommend this product from FireEye.
I've been wanting a preamp exactly like this for years for my flat top and Dobro

This is a very well-conceived, well-constructed piece of gear. There's not much to say other than it works as described. I've been wanting a preamp exactly like this for years for my flat top and Dobro.

The sound is very transparent and you can dial in volume and highs for each instrument. I love that it can run on a 9V or phantom power and you don't have to deal with a wall wart. Some might think the Red-Eye Twin is overpriced, but when you gig regularly with multiple instruments, you'll find it is worth every cent.

I was using the single Red-Eye with my fiddle and it was perfect. This is even better because now I can switch from fiddle to mandolin, adjust my volume for each, and still have a boost, plus it's still a Red-Eye. It's awesome, simple, and rugged. Can't beat it.
What I love about this is that although it seems simple

I purchased this after playing several gigs where I was dissatisfied with the metallic sounds I obtained when playing an acoustic/electric through a guitar amp with an "acoustic" setting. I was set to buy another product, but changed to this one based on the endorsements and reviews. I now run two separate acoustics through this and into the band PA system. Both acoustic guitars sound very natural through this product. I suspect that the other product I was going to buy would give a similar result IF I had the settings right. What I love about this is that although it seems simple, it is optimized for a natural acoustic sound and so I can be more of a musician and less of a technician.
