Does not measure 1/2 inch, only measures in meters and feet. I sent it as a gift and the person just didn't want to go thru the hassle of sending it back.

Reliable tape measure. I use this to measure the cricket field setup for all the games. Very reliable product. I wish I got the 250 ft version as I am running out at 100 ft with this one. But this is light weight and durable, so I could not ask for more.
