Tried for the "pulled pork" was not pleased

Like many others here, I got this to try the healthier fake pulled pork recipe with this. My girlfriend took one bite, spit it out, and refused to eat any more. I thought it looked a lot, but the flavor/texture wasn't there, even with loads of BBQ sauce. I now have the extra 3 cans and have to find someone else to pawn them off on.

Don't judge a book by it's cover. This stuff looks awful, but cooks up great!

Okay, I don't know what I expected. This stuff is UGLY, so don't panic. Then when you shred it, it looks like cat food. I was super skeptical and I even made it wrong (I just baked it with BBQ sauce rather than simmering) and it still was great. A bit too sweet for my taste so I'll add more tomato paste to my BBQ sauce to cut the sweet there and get more of the sweet taste from the Jackfruit.
The great news is that texturly, it really did replicate a pulled pork mouth feel! I can hardly wait to experiment more with this amazing product!

Good, but expensive

This works well in vegan jackfruit recipes, but it's pretty expensive compared to the asian market I can purchase a similar product from locally.
