Good tumbling materials

The tumbling kit was as advertised, instructions were clear, and I just started using materials. So far so good. The materials arrived on time and the packaging was useful. I'm pleased with my buying experience and the materials.
Consistently good product, but you will run out of steps 1 and 2 early.

I picked up tumbling rocks from my mom, although now I mostly tumble the Lake glass that my family and I hunt for obsessively from Lake Michigan. I love how shiny it makes the glass for use in all kinds of projects â¤ï¸â¤ï¸.

This kits is the one my mom and I began with and have stuck with for the most part. It works great, although I'm not sure how much variety there is in a product with only one ingredient, other than price! As far as price, it does seem comparable to others I have found.

I only gave 4 stars simply because the amounts that come in the set should be roughly the same, but since they use weight to measure it you will always run out of Step 1 and Step 2 long before the others. These two steps have larger ingredients and fill up a Tablespoon much quicker than the others. I have been unsuccessful in finding these sold individually, although I may do some more research off Amazon. I will update this review with any findings.

I did recently (this week) begin using a new product for steps 1 and 2, simply because they were sold individually in a larger amount. Unless I find a better deal to continue buying separately, I will continue to buy the set as needed and supplement the first two steps with this other brand. As far as quality it seems to be the same as this one as far as I can tell. But, then again, as I mentioned there is only one ingredient so I'm thinking the quality is probably decent across the board.

For more info on sea glass and tumbling, please email me [email protected] or find me on Facebook: Terra Ternet. I'm happy to send some information free of charge! I will have my blog and a Pinterest page up and running soon and will update this review at that time. Until then, reach out if you'd like and happy tumbling!!
Professional quality at a hobby price

A must have and perfect sized product for this or any brand tumbler. The decreasing coarseness of grits makes this almost fool proof to professionally polish gem stones. The price is very reasonable for the quantity and quality of the product. The manufacturer's packaging was great but unfortunately Amazon did not adequately repackage this as the product was excessively tossed within the shipping box. Fortunately no damage occurred to the product but the manufactured wrapping was torn.
Quality, best machjne

If I am going to spend this money, I want the best one made with a company who will stand behind their product.

My husband got me a rock tumbler and the Lortone Abrasive Tumbling Kit and a two pound bag of rocks for Valentines Day this year (yes, I know, true love, but that's what I said I wanted) and have just today completed my second batch of polished rocks and couldn't be happier.

I've also ordered another Lortone Abrasive Tumbling Kit because I had to repeat a few steps due to operator error and I don't want to run out of any of it. I'm also still pretty dependent upon the book that came with my tumbler for the proper steps, quantities and weights per batch, and this Lortone Kit matches exactly with all of the steps outlined for my tumbler.
