Fondue fever

Ordered this for my dad for christmas and he LOVED IT! It was definitely worth the money, and he uses it all the time:) I would recommend this to anyone that likes fondue!

I purchased this fondue set to compliment our other fondue pot. Our family has grown and we needed a second fondue pot on the table.
Our old fondue pot has us spoiled, so we wanted our new one to have the same qualities: easy to clean, sturdy, able to handle oil for meat and seafood fondue, and look good on our table. Our new fondue pot exceeded our expectations. I especially love the underplate. It catches drips and adds stability.
I didn't get photos of the new fondue pot in use, but will get some the next time we use it.

First, it didn't come with the forks, and 2nd, no matter what we 'set' the heat on, the oil would bubble up & 'pop' over the top~~No, we didn't have it too full, nor did we use the wrong oil. I have had fondue parties for over 25 years~~I know what I'm doing. I sent this back immediately & would never recommend it, felt it was unsafe.

Seems well made and looks good. Nice size for 2 or 4 people. Main negative to me is it's impossible to adjust the burner when it's hot.
Several problems. Use alcohol instead of fire gel.

The product looks very nice on the picture.
Don't try to use it for more than 2 people, because the cooking pot is TINY. You need a bigger pot and more powerful heating element for 3 or more people. The stand looks sturdy and a pot that hangs in the stand is most certainly safer than one that sits on top of a stand; which is the reason I chose this model.
There were several problems with the package I received:
1. One of the color buttons on the forks was missing, and I expect the others won't last very long either.
Not the biggest issue, but a sign of poor quality workmanship.
2. The burner should be easy to adjust by just lightly touching the handle. Mine came too tight and it takes considerable effort to adjust with both hands, which means that it will be impossible to adjust while in use.
3. the so-called 'gel burner' comes with the insert for alcohol, but nowhere is it mentioned that alcohol can be used instead of the gel.
Denatured alcohol costs only 1/8 of that super expensive 'Swiss fire gel'. Buy alcohol at your local hardware store instead.
