Installation was as easy as any other carb

This is a solid carb and a fresh take on an old design.
I replaced an aged and temperamental Holley 4160 with this. Installation was as easy as any other carb, mounts on a standard square flange and has more of an AFB footprint than a Holley. No issues with linkages and cables, throttle cable and C6 kickdown installed without modification.
Performance is good, but I still miss the Holley.
Idle is VERY smooth, and tuning is surprisingly easy. Out of the box it was close to optimal - I'm running a moderately modified Ford 351W at near sealevel and I didn't have to mess with it that much.
It does feel like I got a little less HP out of this one, and that's why I miss the Holley. Despite the marketing I never got the 'punch' out of the secondary engagement that I got with the Holley.
For a daily driver, I think this is a solid performer and a match for the classic Holley design. The performance is slightly disappointing, but the driveability is better so it's a bit of a trade-off.
For me this was a good cheap 'temporary' carb until I can afford a full EFI setup.

Had mine on a Ford 460 for about a year now. Noticed a little seepage on the gaskets. Took it off recently to inspect, found that all the bolts were a bit loose. might want to keep your eye on that for break in. I think after a few good heat cycles and a little time it needs to be re torqued. other than that is runs great.
I'M DEMON ENOUGH!!!

I tried my best to find a flaw in this carburetor and i couldn't. Bolted right on...with only a few air mixture adjustment. Once I got the idle set where I wanted there was nothing left to do but sit back and admire the smooth tone that my 350 chevy engine made through those 2 chamber Flowmaster mufflers. I took it for a drive and I was even more happier about my decision. Acceleration was crisp and very responsive even when I open the secondary. I shut it down for a minute just to see if there would be any hesitation when I started it back up...NONE!!! I would recommend this product anyone who is looking for the best street carburetor on the market. Did I mention that it's Beautifully design.....
Works out of the box

I really like this carburetor. I took it out of the box, stuck it on a fresh 406 SBC and did my cam break in with zero issues. It's really easy to tune, instructions are great, and it looks nice. It's also extremely easy to disassemble to change things out or adjust floats etc.
The only downside to this carburetor is you have to use the Demon air cleaner to fit over the choke or use a big spacer... But that might hit your hood. I bought the Demon air cleaner and it fits with a lot of room.

Worked right away on a long sitting motor.

I installed this carn on a 1965 Thunderbird with 390 motor. The motor started immediately after install, and had been sitting for many years. Definetely a plus.
I did discover that the linkage for the transmission drop down was bent and inoperable. I easily bent it back into shape, but not sure how it got bent in the first place in the original packaging.
Still having problems getting the electric choke working, the choke plates don't open n9 matter how long the car runs. May just need some adjusting.
