Very nice tool, compact when stowed and sturdy enough for my use. Topped with sacrificial 2x4's and went to work with them -- immediately improving my sheet stock and long stock cut-down operations from day one. The units seems solid and I expect with a bit of gentleness they will last a long time, but the 5th star is withheld because the hardware for extending and retracting the legs feels right at the engineered threshold - no extra tolerance. If that hardware was a bit more robust, these would be a life-time solution.

with all the great reviews I thought nothing about not opening until I needed them.
I bought these to hold up a piano while I restored it.
These things are junk and I waited too long to open the package. now I guess that I am stuck with a horrible product from Amazon.
Stay away from this product. or at the very least open it up when you first get it

The best saw horse's I have ever owned and I have own more than a few over the years. Strong, sturdy, and have a really great lock-in-place-position. Had a pair almost like these years ago but they didn't fold up all the way like these do and I got a few mashed fingers trying to get them folded up for storage. Plus they weighed a ton. Happy with these
