Great product
Daryl Weaver•October 5, 2017
Easy to use and extremely accurate. I was having trouble with my water softener and tired of running in to have Sears check it. This one works great. All you have to do is full a tube full of water then put the water in the jar along with one tiny scoop of powder. Next just add one drop at a time until it turns from pink to blue. How many drops is how many grains hard your water is. There is enough to do dozens of times.
Great for making sure your water softener is working properly

I bought this to make sure our water softener was working properly. Very easy to use and will work no matter what hardness your water is. You'll be able to get dozens of tests from this kit so it's well worth the money. I will buy this again if I ever manage to use it up.
Very Accurate
Tech Savvy•July 11, 2017
I tried the paper strips first, which were a complete waste of time. This test is extremely accurate and easy to use. There are no directions, as this is a product for professionals and they expect the user knows how it works. However, directions are abundant on the internet. If you found your way here, you can find directions.
Super easy to use, and will last for years.

This kit is EXTREMELY easy to use and has worked really well to tell me about the water coming out of my softener. I tested some water from Yachats on the Oregon coast at 0-1 grains of hardness and tested my Boise ID water at 14 grains. After running through my softener in Boise it showed 0-1 grains. This kit gives great peace of mind and can be used over and over again.
Works great even for the clumsy

We're all weird mixtures of contradictory characteristics, I think mine mine are weirder and contradictorier than most, like I am both coordinated and clumsy. Nothing gets me more clumsy than small, fiddly things. Things like this test. They tend to drive me crazy. That said, the design of this test is so well done it's almost digital, you can't mess it up, the drops come out as drops, the spoonful is either a spoonful or it's obviously not. I got very consistent results, and that's rare for me. Highly recommended
