I was sceptical at first, but I really like this product and in definitely helps optimize utilization of my safe.
I ended up glueing the loop faster fabric to the bottom of the shelf. When stapled, the fabric tended to pull down in places and allowed some guns to lean. If there was one suggestion for the product, it would be for them to add a small tube of contact adhesive or similar glue to the kit.

The Orange Rods provide degree of safety to assure they seen. A black rod inserted into the barrel of rifle with a muzzle device could potentially be missed.

What a great solution to a cluttered gun safe. When you buy a gun safe rated for 14 rifles, it may actually fit 14 rifles if they are all of the same slim design, with no scopes, slings or accessories, but even then, it gets very tight. Otherwise, you are lucky if you can fit 6 or 7. I was never that lucky. I have scopes and slings on most of my hunting rifles. I can fit in 5.

This solution can increase 14 gun safe capacity to about 16 give or take one assuming you stack them neatly. Velcro sheet supplied is adequately sized. I stapled it to the top shelf as instructed. One end of the plastic rods is inserted in the barrel and the other end topped with a quarter sized velcro-ed disc sticks to the bottom of the shelf. Rod may bow a bit depending on the weight of your rifle, but it holds in place. As a result you can ditch the notched border shelf and line up your deer/squirrel harvesting devices in neat tight rows like nice little solders with your scopes, slings and unicorn tassels attached without them banging into each other. Call me a neat freak, but that kind or organization pleases me. Velcro tips easily detach when you remove the firearm and easily reattaches. Nice!

I will agree with some reviewers that this product is a bit overpriced, considering inexpensive materials and all. After all it is a bunch of plastic rods and a sheet of velcro. You look for any other toy made with the same materials at your local Wally-World and I bet you it will cost no more than $10. This is a unique, albeit simple invention, however. It is also a perfect solution and there is no one else selling anything like it, as far as I looked. It was described very accurately and it performed exactly as described. But most important, after the pain of spending $39.99 subsided this product made me happy. I feel good every time I look into my gun safe and for that It deserves 5 stars, don't you agree?

Five stars for the innovative concept. The fact is I really should have bought a bigger safe. These rods do work, but are not ideal for most of my collection which consists mainly of shotguns and large bore rifles. The rods are 22cal diameter and in a 45cal rifle or 12 gauge shotgun there is a lot of play. The larger bore firearms sort of all slump in whatever direction the butt plate is cut, it works but I believe if the rods were thicker I could stand the guns more upright and allow for even more storage room. This product does certainly allow for more room in the safe and I believe it would work really well for those with a lot of smaller caliber rifles. It will also allow me to get by until I can afford a larger safe.

Worked great for me. I have been considering going this route for quite some time and I'm glad I finally did. Some of the other reviews had some great helpful tips like using spray adhesive instead of just tacking/stapling the fabric to the bottom of the shelf. That worked like a charm. I still stapled around the edges but I'm not sure that was necessary. My safe was absolutely jammed with long guns and it was a hassle getting them in and out without beating them up. Due to the configuration of my safe, I couldn't necessarily position the guns most frequently used toward the front and least frequently used toward the back. I think my safe is a 24 gun safe, but you know how that goes. I think I had 20 long guns in there and it was jammed to the point of being a hassle to use. I'm having to store a bunch of long guns for a relative right now so I am trying to store more guns than I had ever anticipated. I was afraid that the only way I was going to get all of the guns that I needed to store into this safe, I was probably going to have to remove all of the slings (I did this) and also remove some of the scopes on some of the scoped rifles (I did not have to remove any scopes). After using the rifle rods I was able to fit 3 more long guns in there (that's all I have here), could probably fit 1 or 2 more and now I've got the most frequently used guns in much more accessible locations inside the safe. I've still got some tweaking to do. I'm going to make some DIY rifle rods for some of the shorter rifles and shotguns and the .177 pellet gun. I'm also going to try one of the tips I picked up on YouTube of using plastic tubing to increase the diameter and stiffness of some of the rifle rods for the 12 gauge shotguns so the rifle rods don't bend and the shotguns store a little better. I'm already glad that I did this but these tweaks will make it even better.

This product worked immediately and to very good effect. After reading several reviews, I bought the starter kit, some 2-part fast dry epoxy and made a quick shelf from spare lumber I had lying around. After gluing the supplied mat with the epoxy to my shelf, i put some heavy tiles on it and let it cure for an hour. It worked and looks decent.

While my organizing is by no means complete (I want to build a row of vertical shelving up the side of half my safe), this product has helped tremendously in allowing me to do that!

Another trick I gathered from research and reading reviews (something I'm always grateful for having done beforehand)--is to plan out what you ultimately want and need. I looked through page after page of storage ideas before arriving at mine. Good luck (somewhat indirectly related, utilizing such things as handgun hangers, tap lights, and other such space saving tools is a great way to maximize efficiency!)

Included are before and afters I took to show the difference. Btw, most of my rifles are scoped and I feel safe leaving them stored this way.
