As slimy as this stuff is it has to work. I have been using this stuff for years. Well worth the extra step when re-assembling. Small bottle goes a long way.
Great for hooking up a refrigeration system on a sailboat!

I used this to connect the copper tubing from the evaporator to the compressor unit that runs it on my Adler Barbour refrigeration unit that I recently installed in my sailboat. The instructions called for this to be put on the threads of the couplings when connecting the male and female ends of the copper tubing to create a tight seal. It was fairly easy to get on the threads and didn't drip all over the place.
I had never heard of refrigeration oil before this project and was grateful to find it on Amazon.

I'm not sure I needed this but used it on recommendation I found online when installing a mini-split system with flare fittings on the lineset.
