A big money-saver. The original bracket on my Volvo was welded on, then rusted off. the Volvo dealer said the whole exhaust system had to be replaced. But this part works like a charm and I installed it myself. Note: there are two such parts for Volvo's. They may look alike but are different. The part number ending in "6" is the front-most one, near the muffler to tailpipe joint, on the front-wheel-drive Volvo. The part number ending in "5" is, I believe, used at the rear of the exhaust system or may be used on the all-wheel-drive version of the Volvo.

I bought this one as a replacement muffler bracket, the one that is actually holds the muffler at the back. This is actually a bracket for the upstream of the muffler for the exhaust pipe slightly forward of the rear wheels. This one replaces the welded on double horns, so if some material still left you will need to grind it off before installing this bracket. This probably works for the application, but it should not have been called the "muffler bracket". So the 3 stars is for the description, not the quality of the product.
