The look of this door knocker is amazing. It definitely adds character to the door

It really saddens me to only give three stars. I had very high hopes for this. The look of this door knocker is amazing. It definitely adds character to the door. Here's the issues. The holes are not big enough for the screws. I had the drill them out. The ring for the knocker is tight, which reduces functionality. And lastly. The is no pad provided for the ball to knock against. I had to make one out of steel.

Nice knocker, but like most of them on Amazon the fact that it doesn't come with a piece to knock the ring against is a pain in the butt. I fashioned my own from some washers and a screw.

It's on my garden door. I drilled little holes in the eyes and put RED L.E.D. bulbs with a motion detector on it. When people walk by in the evening, "It really freaks them out." :-) I live in the city with many folks walking along my gate.

The Green Man Door Knocker goes well with my old door, everyone takes a look and compliments the Green Man is a symbol of mysterious origin and history of a legendary pagan deity who roams the woodlands of the British Isles and Europe. Although, for expensive /big and heavy doors it can be a little small.
