So I went ahead and scored it as a 2 because generally these are my go-to and I want to believe this was just a one-off issue.
The last batch I bought went bad well before the expiration of Aug 12th, 2018 which is listed on each bottle. It was like someone poured rancid pickle juice into it... words cannot truly express how bad it was. I was using these to supplement my diet since I have been sick, but this option is now out. I had one last week and it was fine, then today it was just bad.

I recently had a sleeve bypass and had to ramp up my protein intake to 60 grams a day. I tried other protein drinks that tasted chalky until I saw the reviews for this. It really has a nice chocolate taste and doesn't have the thick consistency that a lot of these drinks have. I tried the caramel and vanilla, but definitely prefer the chocolate. Highly recommended
