Try this first! Fit my 1998 Beetle with 2.0.

After replacing my a/c clutch assembly. Vacuuming and refilling my a/c system. I finally replaced this and let me tell you it fixed more than just the a/c.
If you have issues with your fans running with the car off or not alternating speeds this is the issue. It runs your a/c clutch as well as the radiator fans.
I straight wired the clutch and still had no cold air with the clutch engaged. Once I replaced this relay clutch kicked on with the a/c and BAM freezing cold air! Best money I ever spent!
it works.

It works fine, i gave it 4 stars because I am unable to test its longevity because i sold the car, but it made the fans work again as well as the ac in my 98 beetle.

Perfect replacement for my 2000 TT fan control unit. Pulled the old out, and in with the new. Fans now on, both high and low speeds work.
