These packages were quite a bit more fun than I thought they would be. The colors were bright and easily seen. It actually changed the color (multiple colors) of almost the entire campfire. They also burn for a while (appx 30 min). Since you are not supposed to cook on the colored flame, make sure you leave yourself enough time for the color to burn off before you try to cook.
I did find it a little strange that you threw the whole package in rather than open it up and sprinkle it over the fire. I was skeptical that it would work, but it wasn't a problem at all. Actually, it was a lot of fun; especially for my 9 year old nephew.

Such vibrant and beautiful colors! Our first attempt to use these mystical camp fire packets proved to be a total mess up. We only added two packets to the fire and really didn't see much coloration of the flames. Our second attempt was much better. We added 5 packets to the fire and saw very vibrant and beautiful flames. The most prominent colors being blue, green, and purple. The colors continued for about 30 minutes before decreasing in color intensity. I am going to have to purchase more if these becausr my family just loves them.

These are cool! I never knew such a thing existed. Bought them for my sis-in-law because she loves having chiminea fires almost every night. We've used them on numerous occasions and they're always so cool. Aren't quite as colorful as I would like, as far as different colors. A lot of greens and blues, but there are some brighter colors that flare up here and there. The package says to throw 3 packets in a fire but we have only been doing one packet and that's fine. I'd recommend if you want to add a little awe to your fireplace or chiminea.

These things are awesome! I had one packet that was on the edge of the fire last all night & even re-lit for a small time the next night! One packet gives your fire some great colored accents; 3 packets in an "average" sized campfire will turn almost the entire fire into a colored display for a good 20 minutes. Picture attached is with 2 packets almost on top of one another.
