Great for rough facial hair

Okay. I used the dorco three blade system for four years prior to going to this system. The entire reason I started using this system is because I had gone through two handles in four years because the three plade handle would always malfunction and make it difficult to change blades.
Pros: well made, seems more durable and better made than the dorco three blade, blades are sharp, work well for edging around beard, I have not caused any bleeding since switching to these and I have super sensitive skin, I shave two to three times a week and have very sand papery facial hair and this blade handles it very well, the holder works well as well.
Cons: I wish it had a single blade on the backside for edging and detail work, I've used the same blade for shaving for three weeks now but I have a beard only shave in spots.
Over all this is a solid upgrade to the three blade and I will update as I use it to see if I have the same issue with handle breaking after about a year.

I tested the 6 blade dorco and figured after a life time of shaving I finally found a reliable brand. Anyone remember when Wilkinson Sword was the blade of the day and then they went into the toilet? So Dorco 6 was giving me 3 comfortable shaves and then 2 more "end of life" shaves. Well I really think 6 blades is overkill, it's only hair people, so went for the 4 blade version. Has success killed Dorco? I'm afraid so. The drop off in quality was huge. I got 1 comfortable shave, 1 "ok" (think drug store plastic 2 blade) and 1 howler. This won't cut it. I'll try a 6 one more time to see if my observations are correct. Dorco, you need to sharpen your game.

First off let me start by stating that I've been using DSC 4-blade razors for over 6 months. I shave my head bald twice a week and very rarely do I get any cuts from using the DSC razors. So naturally I was very pleased when I read that I could buy the very same blades at a discount on Amazon. This week I used the Dorco branded 4-blade razor for the first time and as expected, it snapped right into my existing DSC handle. I could feel an immediate difference with the very first stroke across my stubble-covered scalp. The blade felt sharper, almost too sharp, immediately causing me to be more cautious. When I was done I had 3 nicks on my scalp. Maybe it was just a defective blade - I don't know. I will try a fresh new blade and report back in a few weeks.
Edit:Looks like the first blade I tried was defective. These are no different than the ones from DSC. They work great.

Only time will tell how the blades hold up, but there are many things to like about this razor. The handle is solid, feels more expensive than my old more expensive razor. The swivel on the blades works really well, easy to follow contour of face!
To be fair, I also changed shaving cream before using this razor. I went from a can of Foamy to a tube of Cremo. That stuff is amazing!! Started using to much but have since adapted to using less. In fact, between this Pace 4 razor and the Cremo shave cream, it makes shaving almost enjoyable!!
I've only used this razor about 6 times, same blade, so it's kinda early to speak about how the blades last. But the handle and action of swivel is great. If you decide to try these blades, do yourself a favor and get a tube of Cremo too. Best shaving experience I've had in my almost 70yrs!!

I bought both the 6 blade and the 4 blade to compare. My beard is very heavy and I have to shave every day or I look like Grizzly Adams after a couple days.
The good- These blades are inexpensive and work OK. The bad- I don't think either the 4 blade or 6 blade are as sharp as some of the other mainstream brands I have used. I was spoiled by the German Wilkinson Sword (Shick Hydro?) blades when they were available. The brand new Dorco feel like my Wilkinsons after I had used them a few times, just a tiny bit dull. I think the 6 blade Pace shaves closer than the 4 blade, but pulls more. The handles work OK for a while but I have gone through a couple in the past couple years. The heads are TIGHT on the handle and feel like you are going to break the handle when removing them.
