Dead, Stinking Roaches...
B.Mathis•June 21, 2018
I have ordered roaches from here before and we're very pleased. This time-not is much! I ordered mediums instead of the xsmall I got last time. The mediums were in a container without any bedding and stunk horribly! This caught me off guard but I later found SEVERAL dead, oozing roaches that were causing the stink. Also-the measurements in the pictures are off. These are much bigger! Again-I've has great results ordering the xsmall! Disappointed today though.
ABDragons dubia roach review

This was my first time ordering live insects online and I was concerned that my dubias wouldn't make it through shipping due to the Texas heat. Thankfully, they all arrived live and well! They even got to the post office way quicker than expected. Upon opening the box, the dubias were in a plastic deli cup with two pieces of cardboard egg crate to hide in. The cup was cushioned in the box with plastic air bags.
The nymphs themselves were all around the same size. (The roach in the picture crawled too quickly to get it perfectly lined up with the measuring tape.) I haven't bothered to count the roaches one by one, but it seems like I got 100 or more as promised. I'm currently feeding them Premium Dubia Diet by Lugarti, water storing crystals, and pieces of fresh fruit. They relish tangerine slices and will completely devour them in less than a day.
No complaints here! I'm very satisfied with my order and would highly recommend ordering from ABDragons.

Let me start by saying the roaches were the perfect size and had they not been dead when I went to grab them, I would have been 100% pleased. Shipping was fast and the roaches were affordable and good quality. When I recieved them however, they were all dead. Not like one or two but all 100. I do live in Arizona which is typically hot, but this particular day was maybe 80 degrees at the highest. Regardless, the seller was awesome! I emailed them right away to inform of the issue and that I would respond back if in fact they were just really lethargic. Unfortunately they were actually dead. The seller was super helpful and apologized not that it was their fault. This stuff can just happen. They refunded me for the roaches and that was that. I'd have give. 5 stars if it were not for the dead product.

Ordered these to start a feeder colony for my leopard gecko and I am very content with my purchase. All roaches arrived happy and healthy and quite a bit larger than what I was expecting. Having a bit of a hard time getting them to eat but that is probably something that I am doing. I've had hissers before and I must say for cockroaches these little fellas are actually pretty cute. Over all well worth the five stars I am giving. Highly recommend to anyone who is tired of paying $8 at a pet store for 20;tiny, unhealthy dubias
Roach feeders seem to be growing. If you want roaches, these seem to be working out fine.

They are still alive and being used as feeders. Dumped them into a Rubbermaid and feed them oatmeal, wheat germ, and carrots. They hide in some packing boxes from Amazon and seem to be growing. The carrots are removed if uneaten every 2-3 days and replaced with new carrot pieces, apple cores, or sweet potato pieces. The Rubbermaid does have glued and screwed in pieces of screen mesh for ventilation and is kept above 70 degrees. Have had them for about 3, maybe 4 months now. I suppose I thought medium would be medium adults, but probably better thy were just small (not tiny) juveniles. They do not climb out of my dragons' heavy glass ash tray feeding bowls I bought at our dollar and a nickel store yet. My dragons do not eat them much though, just one or two. They like the super worms better so far.
