When I read the description, it said it would fit a 7 to 8 inch head DJEMBE. I have both a seven and 8 inch DJEMBE and it is way too big for a 7 inch DJEMBE it is actually too big for an 8 inch DJEMBE as well because the pad extends way over the drumhead making it difficult to put into A corner or store in a small space. The band is quite snug, and feels like it will not come off haphazardly. The pad has a very bad odor on it which I hope will dissipate in sometime. Not the best cover that I have purchased, but it will do for my small drum.
