Maybe our water is just too hard, but I've not seen anything close to the kind of reduction in buildup that we had with our salt-based water softener.

Water is now 15grain. Probably was before installing as well. I'd try to return it if possible.
So far NOT so good. 4 months.

It actually works! We have really hard water, and this takes the edge off just enough. The coffeemaker is not clogging with calcium any longer. Good product.
