No Room For Fillings.

As a taco shell fryer this does fry tacos and the texture of the finished product is excellent. On this point it is a 5 star item.
I knew when I bought it that it is a commercial frying basket and I had to cut two of the baskets off to fit our fryer--no big deal except I can not return it.
My problem is that the bottom of the form for the shell AND the insert come down to a very sharp V point. This creates two problems.
First the point is SOOO sharp that some of the shells break at the point.
. The second problem is that the shell fills up extremely quickly because there is no rounded spot on the bottom for the ingredients. Even a layer of beans fills 1/4 to 1/2 of the height of the shell. This results in a taco that is mostly shell and requires double or triple the amount of shells to make a meal.
