These pants fit my 8 y.o. daughter great. She's slim built but rather tall for her age. The length is perfect, and having the drawstring waist is an added bonus for her. The material seems very durable and has shown no signs of wear, even after repeated machine washes / dryer and practice. The white color is still very crisp and bright and not at all dingy.

I purchase the Macho 7oz Student Karate Gi Pants after my son lost two Karate pants. I purchased this brand because of the price, I rate is as three-star because when it arrived it was shiny after a few wash I was able to get the bottom matching the top.

My height and weight fell well within the guidelines for the size I bought, but the pants were too long and the waist was too small. Washing the pants took care of the excess height -- and if I shed a few pounds, the waist problem should resolve itself! Otherwise, the pants seem to be of good quality.
